Meet the Founder
Hi! I’m Kelly Jeanes. I’m a Fractional and Interim Head of People & Talent passionate about helping startups navigate the fast-paced, often chaotic world of growth. I specialize in building the People and Talent functions at Series A-C companies. With a strategic yet boots-on-the-ground approach, I focus on bringing order to early-stage operations and help teams scale efficiently.
I have 14 years of experience total, with over nine years as a leader and team builder. Between my time as an operator and as a consultant, I have worked with a range of companies, spanning from Series A to Unicorn status across industries including FinTech, Health Tech, e-commerce, SaaS, data analytics, real estate technology, and web publishing.
As a fractional leader, I have worked with startups backed by investors such as Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, IVP, Stripe, Oak HC/FT, 8VC, Softbank, First Round Capital and Y Combinator.
I grew up in northern Virginia and I hold a BS in Psychology from George Mason University. I spent six years living in Brooklyn before relocating to Denver in 2020. Outside of work, I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, cooking, reading non-fiction, and taking care of my two pet rabbits, Hazey and Lily.

I provide part-time leadership for Seed to Series C startups. My role is typically fully embedded and may include:
Partnering with the team to help with various People and Talent related needs throughout the employee lifecycle from recruiting to onboarding to offboarding.
Running key projects including engagement surveys, performance reviews, compensation philosophies or compensation bands.
Setting up Talent systems such as foundational SOPs, ATS implementation, creating structured interview plans, referral programs, or setting up jobs within the ATS.
Embedded recruiting, which could include finding and onboarding full-time People and Talent team members, running a G&A or EPD search, or partnering with exec search partners.
Providing strategic guidance to founders and leadership teams, helping to shape a long-term People and Talent strategy while navigating key growth phases.
